Martin Shakeshaft M.A. – Visual Journalist / Photographer / Lecturer.

Since studying Documentary Photography at Newport College of Art in 1985, Martin has worked as a Freelance Photojournalist, Videographer  and Lecturer.

Clients have included, BBC; Channel 4 Television; Dispatches; S4C; Greenpeace; The Economist; The Daily Mirror; The Independent; Newsweek Magazine and many others.

He has exhibited in the UK and abroad. ‘Strike84’ and ‘Look Back in Anger’ are available for hire. A selection of his work is housed in the National Museum of Wales’s permanent collection.

He regularly runs workshops on a number of topics including Documentary Photography and Videography, Mobile Journalism (Mojo) and Landscape. He frequently teaches for the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).

Martin is currently a Senior lecturer in Photography and Video, at De Montfort University in Leicester. He is available to work on commissions and provide training and workshop services.
